Firmenich is a food processing company that makes a variety of food products (colorants and flavors). Over the years, they have had many problems with epoxy coatings. After examining their manufacturing processes, we discovered their main problem was steamy, hot water. The thermo-shock from hot water will destroy almost any coating. Archway Industrial Coatings applied our food grade urethane concrete overlay and still to this day there are no issues and the floor looks great. Urethane concrete overlays can withstand hot water at any temperature, including steam. Also, any chemcial attacks you may have, including CIP rooms, are not a problem.
